A Reflection from the SWEET Psych NP Handbook
This book was never meant to add more noise to an already crowded field. It was written because psychiatric nurse practitioners are being asked to hold more. More risk, more complexity, more documentation, more systems pressure, and often less support.
The goal was simple: to write something that helps clinicians think clearly, practice steadily, and sustain themselves in the work over time.
The goal is not a manual of algorithms or a handbook for judgment.
If you choose to read it, read it slowly. Let it meet your own experience.
Psychiatric practice is demanding. It deserves depth.
